Loren + Richard's wedding had so much eye candy, loved all the little creative details throughout the wedding day, lots of neat DIY ideas here!  So cute, the little button bouttoniere and button bouquet for the flower girl and ringbearer.  Loren loves the color purple, it was one of her wedding colors, everytime I turned around to photograph something in the girls getting ready room....it was purple.  Purple toothbrush, purple phone, purple lighter, purple bra strap, and the maid of honor's cast was purple (she hurt her arm by falling off the electric bull at the bride's bachelorette party!) along with all the other details for the actual wedding that were already purple....love it!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jordan is getting married in less than 5 weeks on a beach in Mexico, she lives in Texas and while visiting San Diego last week we shot her bridal session at La Jolla Cove!  We brought a white sheet to hide and tuck under Jordan's dress so that it would be nice and clean for the wedding....she is definitely not just laying in the sand!  Deshun was surrounded by women, I was free to come along and help fuss over Jordan, and she brought her mom and friend along, more eyes to check for stray hairs and showing bras.....ha ha.  We had a great time with you all, hope you like the sneek peeks of some of our favs, it was very hard to narrow it down.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elaine and Rob both share a love of the ocean and decided to have their engagment session at the Cove.  I love all the different colors in the backdrops, from the rugged alleyways, fences, rocks, and water...really brings out the colors in Lainie's tattoos....nice!  Their wedding is just around the corner....May 31st, can't wait! :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Joanne + Noah's ceremony took place at the North Chapel at Liberty Station.  I love how the deep red flowers and details complemented the pops of red in the chapel.  (And the red shoes are gorgeous!!)  The traditonal Sword Ceremony followed right outside the church, and then we were on the way in the Limo Bus heading to Downtown Gaslamp for formals with a great big bridal party 10 girs, 9 guys, bride and groom and a Jr. Bridesmaid (and a photographer, I wanted to be 10th guys in this bridal party because they were having so much fun!)  I can see why Joanne and Noah have so many great friends, they are an amazing couple, and I got to know them more by being a part of their day.  Reception followed at the Marriott, the ambiance was beautiful.  Thanks to my asistant Warren Jennings who did an amazing job second shooting with me on this wedding!  -DeShun-

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ted and Sara got married at a beyond gorgeous Greek Orthodox Church - St. Spiyridon in San Diego.  Reception was held at Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, such a fun place to have a wedding!  I enjoyed watching the Greek traditions that took place,  mixed with American wedding traditions.  The beautiful yellow and purple florals were done by Elegant Touch Floral.  Thank you to Michael Domingo who photographed with me at this wedding - as always, love your work!     -Yasmine-

Lindsay and Edward took a trip from Idaho to elope here in San Diego.  Lindsay calls Paradise Point a 'mini Hawaii', and it is gorgeous and tropical....love it!  A guitarist played in the background while the couple said their vows between the palm trees, and overlooking the ocean. 

 

 

 

I'm pretty sure Lindsay's favorite color is purple (it was her choice for her wedding, she has a purple tattoo, and she wore her favorite purple shoes that she said make her feel happy....) so I had to do a purple sky on a few of the pictures for her special day

We loved Carolyn and Kyle's unique style, and they are both so sweet, it was such a pleasure capturing their day!  One of their main wedding colors as you can see was green, I love how Carolyn planned her hotel room colors to match that!  Carolyn's bridesmaids say that she plans everything, so this couldn't have been an accident, her room at the Hilton was modern and beautifully decorated in shades of chocolate brown and olive green.

Having a photobooth style setup at a wedding is always lots of fun for the guests....and the photographers :)

 

Jessica and Joey met while working together at O'Sullivans Irish Pub in Downtown Carlsbad, and wanted to start their engagement session there since they have so many fond memories of the place, we then worked our way through downtown heading towards the beach.  Jessica is definitely a bouncy thing, very fun and energetic, I think Joey keeps her grounded, they complement each other very well.  Looking forward to their wedding at Pala Mesa Resort coming up in June.

Kathleen is a dear friend to me, she was in my wedding, got married a week after Deshun and I, and now she's having a baby!  It's still crazy seeing her belly, she looks great, and it was so much fun to get some beautiful shots showing off that gorgeous bump.  Can't wait to see little Sophie Elise Turner, I know she's going to be pretty...just like her mama.....only a few more months to go :)

April and Kris brought their dog Buddy along for the ride, he was so cute!  Thanks to April's mom (which is our neighbor) for coming along to help with Buddy.  April and Kris are getting married at the Grand Tradition Arbor Terrace in July and we are really excited to work at that venue again, it's so beautiful there.  Thanks for being such good models for us....you were great!  Enjoy your teasers :)

We have our third J & J this month!  First we had Jennifer + Jeff, then Jessica + Justin, and now Jennifer + Joshua (the next engagement session you see see posted will be Jessica + Joey, I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I think it's funny that there are so many J's this month)  I don't really know where to start with this couple, but I am really glad they made us drive all the way to Joshua Tree for their engagement session, because we had such a good time!  It turned out to be a little one night getaway without the kids, and I have such great memories of this trip :)  Jenn and Joshua used to visit this park often to go rock climbing and they didn't have to think twice about where they wanted their shoot to take place, this park is breathtaking, and it's truly one of the most unique places we've shot at.  Their wedding at the Wild Animal Park will take place next Spring, and this active, fun loving couple is going to a pleasure to work with.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Justin arrived back home from overseas just one day before his and Jessica’s elopement.  They are having a big wedding in October, but didn’t want to wait that long to say their ‘I do’s’ .  Jessica ordered her dress online, the petticoat she found at a thrift store, and she put together her bouquet herself.  They stayed at the Hotel Del and exchanged vows on Coronado beach.

We had a fun time with you guys, thanks for treating us to a Pineapple and Grey Goose, we had to go out and buy some pineapple juice so we could have some more when we got home that night.  :)  Hope you had a great time too without the kids!   

 

Can you think of a better way to start a photo session?  It was great to have our couple relax while sharing a drink at 'Two 'O Seven', the lounge located in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Margherita and Damion chose the Chula Vista Marina for their engagement session because it's a place where they enjoy walking frequently, and Damion has fond memories of family trips there.  It was our first time shooting there and we loved it!
